Since the time he started singing in his church choir in Penns Grove, NJ in the 60s Scott Hines has been making music. A multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and composer Hines's music crosses a broad spectrum of musical genres and tastes. Growing up in the 70s, Hines was deeply influenced by the progressive rock legends of the time like Steely Dan, Little Feat, and Frank Zappa. But Hines's music isn't just about prog rock, his albums offer songs that can be just as home in Nashville, Muscle Shoals, or Kingston.
Hines isn't only recognized for his music. He's often regarded as one of Arizona's leading technology entrepreneurs. Many of the top corporations from around the world rely on computing platforms Hines created.
Hines released his first studio album Flesh and Bone in 2004. Produced at Clamsville Studios in Arizona by John Herrera the album achieved both fan and market success with over 3.8 million internet radio plays.
It took almost 18 years but now Hines is ready with his 2nd album Eye to Eye. Written together with jazz piano great Mark DeCozio and produced by DeCozio and John Herrera, Eye to Eye reflects Hine's maturing musical talents and compelling collaborations with some of the best musicians in the southwest.
With the release of Eye to Eye, Hines looks forward to growing his fans and performing his music live. Scott and his wife Paola are very happily married and live in Scottsdale, AZ. They love to travel the world and experience amazing food and wine with just their backpacks and smiles!
